Right after this event, we leave for Botswana! If you have a motorbike, join us on the road to distribute boxes as we work to establish a new YWAM base there.

Shout out to my friend Pieter de Waal, who helped me revamp URstory.co.za as we enter a brand-new season following our 81-day tour!

Good news:

Good News:

SPOT THE GREEN ON THE MAP! I am flying to Togo in November! Flying is super expensive, and when I initially decided not to go to the College for Bible Engagement meetings, a scripture popped up during my morning reading in Numbers 22:37:

“Didn’t I repeatedly send for you to summon you? … I can pay you well, can’t I?”

I was completely shocked by that sentence—God’s conviction swept over me right then and there. I decided to step out in faith and go, and immediately after, someone stepped up to cover the finances! I can only describe it as God’s pure mercy over my life.

NEXT TO MELKHOUTFONTEIN IN STILBAAI

Every Friday at 3 PM, we hold intercession at my house. During prayer, we felt a strong prompt from God to visit a place where no one else wants to go: a informal settlement where mostly illegal builders and domestic workers live.

We were greeted by super friendly faces as we walked through the camp. Built among rocks on a small mountain, it consists of makeshift toilets, unsafe housing, and very little else. Children were playing in the dirt, and it felt like I was back in deep, real Africa.

This place has become one of our core focus areas for 2027.

Here’s the plan:

From March 22–26, 2027, URstory will host its first official one-week accredited training right here in Stilbaai. YWAMers can complete this one-week URstory course for credit toward their University of the Nations degree.

Immediately following the training, we will run a two-week outreach into Melkhoutfontein and this under-resourced community next door.

To apply: Email URstorysbb@gmail.com (You do not have to be a YWAMer to join!).

We are also still working on pioneering an ENGLISH TRAINING CENTRE for the community. Finalising all the administrative details has kept us extremely busy, but we hope to launch this sooner rather than later.

TAKING CONTEXTUALIZATION TO A NEW LEVEL

URstory has created a set of 8 tailored boxes for outreach teams:

Europe is different from Africa.

Africa is different from Asia.

Closed nations require a completely different approach than open ones.

Sad News

My car has hit very high mileage and has been to the mechanic three times in the last two months. Given how much driving I do, it has become clear that I need a new vehicle as soon as possible.

I’ve been praying through this for over a year. I love my car, but it’s not only old—it’s far too small for all the people, supplies, ministry boxes, and sand I transport back and forth daily.

I have complete peace about fundraising for a BAKKIE. I’m aiming specifically for the new JAC T8 2.0L CTI LUX Double Cab. China is offering options that are significantly more affordable than Toyota while remaining light on fuel and receiving excellent reviews.

This truck will carry URstory forward for the next 15 years.

Knowing it can also serve as our backup vehicle for our 2027 outreach to Botswana—carrying many more SandBoxBibles to the new location where we are pioneering YWAM—gives me total confidence in this choice.

FLYING SANDBOXBIBLES (mercyair.co.za)

We have a group of young guys in the family lining up to become pilots—three of them! My nephew Janco and his cousin Alexander are already flying Boeing 747s on professional-grade simulator gear. Because of this, we are starting to see a clear future for flying SandBoxBibles directly across Africa FROM STILBAAI airport.

In three years, Janco (who will be 16) will apply for his first pilot’s license. Since Zambia is surrounded by eight nations, Lusaka could become an incredible hub to distribute Bibles directly into North Africa.

Once Janco have his lisence, we will start to fundraise for a 4 seater aircraft (R800 000)

You are invited to join us in praying over this long term project

RIGHT AFTER THIS WE ARE LEAVING FOR BOTSWANA

The URstory logo: a colourful painted motorbike with red panniers and the word URstory arched above it.

If you have a bike – join us to drop boxes in Botswana where we want to see a YWAM base established.

4 July until we come back. We will be driving to DUKWI town.

A screw-driven CNC machine on the CNC Basix website, on sale for R28,500.

Want to cut boxes, and distribute them in your country?

This machine is really cheap and cuts 3mm plywood.

Lets talk! Get a machine for your outreach teams!
